Security and Video Surveillance
For your safety and comfort, surveillance cameras are installed in the common areas of the hostel.
We kindly ask you not to intervene with the security equipment: it is forbidden to reposition the
cameras, obstruct, dismantle or damage them in any way.
Violators of this rule will be subject to a UAH 5,000 fine to cover the security system repair cost.
We appreciate your cooperation and understanding of responsibility!

Rules of Accommodation at the eZhytlo Shchekavytsia Hostel


1. GENERAL PROVISIONS
1.1. These Rules have been developed on the basis of the current legislation of Ukraine and the requirements of the International Hotel Association and are an integral annex to the Public Offer Agreement.
1.2. The administration of the eZhytlo Shchekavytsia hostel (hereinafter referred to as the Hostel) guarantees its guests compliance with all confidentiality rules.
1.3. The Hostel Administration reserves the right to impose penalties for violation of fire safety standards and violation of other rules stipulated by this document.
1.4. Guests can provide feedback and suggestions regarding the Hostel’s operation in the Guest Book.
2. HOSTEL ACCOMMODATION PROCEDURES
2.1. The hostel is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
• Check-in from 14:00.
• Check-out until 12:00 noon.
2.2. Early check-in and late check-out are provided subject to availability of rooms or beds unless early check-in has been guaranteed by written confirmation from the Hostel.
2.3. For late check-out between 12:00 and 22:00, the guest additionally pays 50% of the cost of accommodation for one day.
2.4. For early check-in from 8:00 to 14:00, the guest additionally pays 50% of the cost of accommodation for one day.
2.5. Persons under the age of 18 are admitted for check-in only if accompanied by adults. In case of family accommodation, children under the age of 5 can stay free of charge without provision of a separate bed.
2.6. By paying for accommodation in a room, the Guest is entitled to the following services:
  • Free Wi-Fi Internet connection;
  • Use of kitchen appliances (stove, refrigerator, microwave) and kitchen equipment;
  • 24-hour access to toilets and showers;
  • Use of washing machines and dryers;
  • When checking into a family room, the required number of towels is provided.
2.7. Pets are allowed in the Hostel provided the Guest complies with the following requirements:
- When booking, the Guest is obliged to notify the Hostel administrator about bringing a pet;
- Keep the animal on a leash, in a muzzle or in a cage, and do not let it move freely in an uncontrolled manner around the Hostel;
- Make sure the animal does not disturb the peace and quiet of other guests, and any noise is kept to a minimum;
- It is forbidden to take pets with you to the Hostel’s kitchen and bathrooms;
- The pet’s owner bears full financial responsibility for damage caused to the Hostel property by the animal, including damage to furniture, walls, carpeting, as well as any damage caused by the animal to other Guests or the Hostel staff.
2.8. Upon arrival, the Guest provides one of the identity documents (passport/driver's license/military ID card/international travel passport), a child's birth certificate, fills out a registration card and pays the full cost of the accommodation. Occupying a room without prior payment is not allowed. Upon signature of the check-in card, the Guest undertakes to pay Hostel’s bills in full and on time, preventing the occurrence of unpaid charges.
2.9. The area adjacent to the hostel is not the hostel's parking lot. Guests may leave their cars in this area, but the hostel administration is not responsible for the vehicle’s integrity and safety.
2.10. Upon entering the room after check-in, the Guest must immediately report any damage or missing inventory in the room, otherwise any such damage will be considered the Guest’s liability and will be charged directly to the Guest.
2.11. The Guest undertakes, in case of damage, deterioration or destruction of any property in the room (such as breaking glasses, lamps, windows, damaging the furniture, curtains, burn marks on any surfaces, carpets, staining towels in a way that they cannot be washed clean, etc.), to compensate the value of the damaged property or inventory. The Guest also bears full financial responsibility for damage caused to the Hostel by family members, friends, any third party brought by the Guest, including participants in any event organized by the Guest.
2.12. Please follow fire safety rules. If the fire alarm sounds, you must remain calm and leave the building following the evacuation plan.
2.13. The Hostel administration asks you to safeguard your personal belongings. The Hostel administration is not responsible for any missing belongings.
2.14. Please take care of the Hostel's property and equipment. The hostel staff will inspect the room at departure. In case of damage or theft of property or equipment, the Guest will be required to compensate for it in accordance with the rates provided by the Administration.
2.15. Please inform the Hostel administration if you discover any defects in equipment, electrical, heating and water supply.
2.16. When leaving the room, do not forget to close the water taps, windows and turn off the lights.
2.17. Please maintain cleanliness in your room and in the Hostel’s common areas.
2.18. At check-in, the Guest is required to pay a security deposit for the keys to both the block and the room in the amount of UAH 400. On the day of the check-out (before 12:00 noon), the Guest must return both the room and the block keys to the administrator at the central reception. in case of loss of a key, the Guest will be charged the amount of UAH 400.
2.19. To ensure the Guests’ safety, video surveillance is in place on the Hostel’s premises (except in rooms and bathrooms).
3. REFUSAL OF CHECK-IN, TERMINATION OF RESIDENCE
3.1. After the end of the paid period of stay, Guests must hand over the room to the hostel staff intact and in its original configuration, then leave the Hostel’s premises.
3.2. If the Guest repeatedly violates these House Rules, does not react to the requests of the Hostel staff, which results in material loss or creates inconvenience for other Guests, the Hostel administration has the right to refuse checking that Guest in or terminate the Guest’s accommodation (and evict the Guest from the premises).
3.3. The Administration has the right to refuse further accommodation to the Guest for violation of these Rules, as well as for late payments for services.
3.4. The administration reserves the right to refuse accommodation if the Guest shows signs of alcohol or drug intoxication or raises any doubts about his/her behavior.
4. THINGS THAT ARE PROHIBITED
4.1. Smoking of cigarettes, cigars or any other (including electronic) devices that emit smoke, vapor or a specific smell is strictly prohibited on the hostel premises. For each individual case of smoking, the Administration charges a fine of UAH 1000 and the cost of full compensation for additional premises cleaning and elimination of the associated damage.
4.2. Keeping animals, birds, reptiles, etc. in the room without the knowledge of the administration. The animal’s owner bears full financial responsibility for damage caused to the Hostel property by the animal, including damage to furniture, walls, carpeting and other damage caused by the animal to other Guests or Hostel staff.
4.3. On the territory of the Hostel and in the rooms, it is prohibited to play musical instruments, make noise, whistle, sing loudly, use foul language, turn on audio systems and TV loudly, thereby causing noise that interferes with the rest of other guests.
4.4. Leaving unauthorized persons in the rooms, handing over the room key to them, not locking the door when leaving the room.
4.5. Bringing on the Hostel premises and storing in the room materials / objects that pose danger to the life and health of others (flammable items, explosives, toxic materials, chemical and radioactive substances, weapons).
4.6. Using extension cords, socket weld tees, shoe dryers, electrical appliances (kettles, stoves, heaters) in the room, except those permitted by the Hostel administration.
4.7. Rearranging and removing furniture from the room without prior approval from the Hostel administration.
4.8. Showing aggression or acting in way that threatens the safety, health or property of other persons.
4.9. Damaging to the Hostel's property.
4.10. Accommodating strangers in the room without registering their stay at the Hostel with a subsequent payment.
4.11. Leaving minors without adult supervision.
4.12. Independently attending to malfunctions of electrical wiring or equipment, water supply, sewage, plumbing and other utilities provided by the Hostel.
4.13. Throwing trash out of the room windows.
4.14. Storing large items in the room.
5. PAYMENT RULES AND BOOKING CONDITIONS
5.1. Booking services offered by this website are provided online, by email, or by telephone.
5.2. When making a reservation through the website, the Guest enters into a direct contractual relationship with the Hostel. Once the reservation is made, the Hostel sends the Guest an email with payment details.
5.3. To confirm the reservation, the Guest must make a prepayment of the full amount covering the first day of stay. After making the prepayment, the Guest must contact the Hostel administrator to inform about the executed prepayment and receive confirmation from the administrator of the receipt of this amount by the Hostel.
5.4. Hostel reservation cancellation conditions:
  • The Guest may cancel the reservation without penalty 3 days before the date of arrival (in this case, the prepayment made is refunded to the Guest in full), if the reservation is canceled less than 3 days before the date of arrival, the prepayment for the first day of stay is not refundable and is withheld as a penalty. If the reservation is canceled less than 1 day before the date of arrival or if the Guest does not use the accommodation on the specified day of arrival (no-show), the prepaid amount is not refunded to the Guest and the reservation is canceled.
  • If the Guest does not make a prepayment for the reserved room within 2 (two) business days from the moment the administrator sends the prepayment invoice, the administration reserves the right to cancel the booking of the room.
  • In the event of cancellation of the reservation by the Guest during the stay, the Hostel reserves the right not to refund the remaining amount prepaid for the stay.
5.5. Payment for the full cost of accommodation is made by the Guest during check-in at the Hostel. Upon presentation of the prepayment receipt by the Guest, the amount of the prepayment is credited toward the full amount.
5.6. Early check-in (before 14:00) or late check-out (after 12:00 noon) is provided to Guests subject to availability of free rooms or beds (as well as absence of reservations), and is billed according to the Hostel's rate card.
5.7. In case of the Guest’s departure before the initially previewed date, the amount paid for the unused days us not refunded. At the Guest’s request, the unused prepaid amount can be credited toward a new reservation, provided that the subsequent stay will take place within 6 months from the date of the creation of such deposit.
5.8. In case of the Guest’s early departure due to extraordinary circumstances or force majeure (illness, death or serious illness of a close relative, etc.) confirmed by documents, the unused prepaid amount is refunded to the guest’s bank account within 14 working days. To process such a refund, the Guest fills out a Refund Application Form, provides a document confirming the occurrence of extraordinary circumstances and copies of documents certifying the identity of the payer.
5.9. In case of violation of the Rules of Accommodation set forth by the Hostel, the Administration has the right to refuse the Guest any further accommodation.
6. RULES FOR VISITING GENERAL USE AREAS
6.1. At all times, Guests must observe and maintain public order and generally accepted norms of behavior; behave respectfully towards other Guests at the Hostel, service staff, persons responsible for maintaining order, and refrain from any actions that may endanger others.
6.2. Cleaning of the Hostel’s premises is carried out daily, while Guests undertake to maintain cleanliness in their own room and common areas (showers, kitchens, bathrooms).
6.2.1. After using kitchen equipment and utensils, Guests must carefully clean up after themselves and wash the dishes. Should the Guest leave the kitchen dirty after using it, the Hostel staff will ensure the kitchen’s cleaning imposing a UAH 250 fine on the Guest.
6.2.2. In the event that the Guests are found to have left the bathroom dirty after use, the Hostel staff will ensure the bathroom’s cleaning imposing a UAH 150 fine on the Guest.
6.3. The Hostel Administration is not responsible for:
  • injuries, trauma, material or moral damage caused to visitors as a result of their failure to comply with these Rules or generally accepted safety standards;
  • for visitors' belongings that were left unattended.
6.4. The persons accompanying children are responsible for their life and health safety on the Hostel’s premises.
